M. Sc. [Nursing] admission
The NTR University of Health Sciences [NTRUHS] has invited applications from eligible women candidates for admission into the M. Sc. [Nursing] course for the year 2001 - 2002 at the College of Nursing, Hyderabad. There are six seats including one sponsored by the private organizations.
Admissions will be made through an entrance examination. The test would be conducted on July 8th 2001, at the college from 10 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. The candidates must have qualified in B. Sc. [Nursing] of any recognized university and regular employee in any institution in the State having at least two years of service as on May 31, 2001. They should have completed 45 years of age [48 years for SC & ST s] as on December #1, 2001.
Applications for the course can be obtained from the course can be obtained from the principal, college of Nursing, Somajiguda, Hyderabad - 500482, on all working days from June 8th to 20th in person or post. For detailed application form a D. D. of Rs. 500 of nationalized bank drawn in favour of the Registrar, NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, should be taken. Candidates who wish to obtain the application by post, a self addressed envelope of 11 cm x 25 cm with affixing postal stamps worth Rs. 18 should be sent. The last date for the submission of forms to the Registrar is on or before June 23rd 2001.
Course in Bio-informatics
The Department of Genetics of Osmania University is offering a unique course in bio-informatics as an Advanced Diploma Programme to the Post-Graduate Degree holders in life sciences from the current academic year. Keeping in view the gaining importance of bio-informatics as a discipline of the new millennium, Osmania University has designed this course.
Applications are invited for the Entrance Test and Admission to Advanced Diploma in Bio-informatics from eligible candidates. Post Graduate Degree [M. Sc. or above] in any branch of Biological Sciences such as Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics,
Bio-technology [M. Sc., M. Tech] Life Sciences, Bio Sciences, Animal Sciences, Plant Sciences, Veterinary Sciences [M. V. Sc.] Agricultural Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences [M. Pharmacy] Bio Physics, Medical Sciences [M.D., M. S] and environmental Sciences provided they have secured 55% marks or equivalent grade at the post Graduate level.
The application form along with the prospectus can be obtained from: The Director, PGRR Centre for distance Education, Osmania University, Hyderabad - 500 007 on payment of Rs. 400 through DD drawn in favour of the Director, PGRR Centre for Distance Education, Osmania University payable at Hyderabad.
Applications can also be obtained by post by sending a self-addressed envelope of size 8"x10" with postal stamps worth Rs. 35 affixed, along with DD, to the Director, PGRRCDE, O.U.
Filled in applications along with the copies of certificates should reach The Director, PGRR Centre for Distance Education, Osmania University, Hyderabad - 500007. Filled in application forms should be reached on or before June 21, 2001 by 5 p.m. Applications will also be accepted up to 5 p.m. on 23 June 2001 with late fee of Rs 100 in the form of DD.
