THE
CAREER:-
Air Transport plays a vital role in carrying of people and freight across the globe. It
is the field where work ranges from unskilled to the highly skilled. The
nature of the work involves coordinating Air-Traffic, service and assistance to
passengers, flying of air crafts, maintenance of air-crafts and related
operations like preparing flight plans, analysing metrological data.
ABOUT
IT:- An
individual interested in working in this area has to fulfil requirements
commensurate with the type of job he is aspiring for.
For example to be Flight/Maiiitenance/Communication Engineers or to be in
the air-traffic control departments the person has to have an Engineering Degree
along with relevant technical qualifications.
Obtaining of commercial pilot license is a must for people aspiring to
become professional pilots. Matriculates
and Graduates can apply for Cabin/Operation Attendance.
Women Graduates can also join the Air-lines as Air- Hostess or Grand
Hostess, Central flying training school in Hyderabad, Civil Aviation Centre,

rapid progress in Air transport mainly due to time saving, the demand for man
power is very high. With the
salaries ranging from Rs. 1,500 - 8,000 plus perks and other incentives like
free air travel once a year etc. a person can be a Pilot, or work in the field
of Flight/ Maintenance/Communication, as Engineers Air,Hostess etc.
IT
DEMANDS:- These
vary according to the nature of job required.
In general, alertness, effective communication skills, good human
relations, command in more than one language (for air stewards and hostess),
courage, calm and temperament. The
Pilots must be capable of sustained concentration, ability to think and act
quickly, make rapid calculations and be able to speak clearly & distinct.
