Nandi Natakotsavam
The final competitions of Nandi Natakotsavam will be held
from 28th onwards up to June 3 in City, the AP State Film Television and Theater Development Corporation Ltd, is conducting the competitions.
As many as 55 entries for song and dance drama, 23 for social plays and 57 entries for social playlets were received by the corporation. After the preliminary scrutiny that held from April 25 to May 12, 10 song and dance dramas, eight social plays and 12 social playlets were shortlisted for the final competition. The awards will be presented on June 4.
The winners of the song and dance drama competition will be awarded a golden Nandi, Rs 25,000 cash and certificate of appreciation while the runners-up will be given a silver Nandi, Rs 15,000 cash and appreciation certificate. For social plays, the winners will be awarded a golden Nandi, Rs 20,000 cash in addition to a certificate of appreciation and the runners-up will be presented a silver Nandi and Rs 15,000 cash.
In respect of social playlets, the winners will be awarded a golden Nandi and cash of Rs 15,000 and the runners-up will be given silver Nandi and Rs 10,000 cash.
Bronze Nandi and Rs 5,000 cash will be presented to the three best literary works. Three jury awards will also be presented to the participants in addition to a remuneration of Rs 10,000, Rs 7,500 and Rs 5,000 for participating in the final contest.

Andhra Sangeeta Samskrutika Mahaotsavam
The Andhra Sangeeta Samskrutika Mahaotsavam - 2001 will be held from June 4 to 9 at Tivoli Gardens in Secunderabad. Sanatahana Dharma Charitable Trust, a non-profit making, non-political and non-sectarian voluntary organisation, which will organise the festival in collaboration with the Sivaganga Sangeeta Parishath.
To provide profiles of the glory and achievement of Andhras, a cultural exhibition displaying the charts of the dynasties that ruled Andhradesa, various artifacts including pieces of sculpture and rare paintings of masters such as Damerla Rama Rao, and portraits of inspiring Andhra personalities like poets, scholars, social workers, leaders and others, would be arranged.
In this festival eminent scholars would deliver a serious of lectures on various aspects of Andhra history, culture, language, literature and also fine arts. There would be a special session on Telugu
films.
