Looks like the happy days are here again for Telugu cinema. At time when everybody was worried about the future of small films, they have made a surprising come back. Though there are no new
subsidies or sops from the Government, the small budget films are back in the fray. Also heartending is the way they are received by the audience, who are
seeing the films in a good number.
Added to that is the festive atmosphere in the industry. In the past one week alone, atleast 20 functions were held. Another 10 new films were announced. The good response to the low budget 'College' also augers well for Telugu cinema. The elders in the industry are of the opinion that the Telugu Industry is number one in the country going by the last one month's activities.
'Sivudu' with Suresh
Krishna Preetam productions is making 'Sivudu' with Suresh as hero. Directed by Subba Rao Gosangi, Sishwa plays the heroine. Suresh plays an employee in a printing press. Supposed to be a family entertainer, the producer and the hero are confident about the film's success. The production house has made an earlier film, 'Bhavani' with the same combination. The film will complete shooting on the 15th of December in Hyderabad.

'Priyamaina Neeku' from Supergood

Supergood films, which is giving regular hits in both Telugu and Tamil has announced a new Telugu film. The shooting has started in the annapurna studios.
Tarun, Shivaji, Preeti, Sneha play main roles. Balasekharan of 'Love Today fame is the director. Supergood films has made only remakes in Telugu so far and this is the first straight film for them. A Teen-age love story, the film will be shot in Hyderabad. |

'Prabhu Mahima'
The fight between Jesus Christ and Satan is the theme for a new film rom
Mural Movie creations. The shooting started last week in BANJARA
Hills Church.
The film has a unique point in that. Both the lead roles are played by politicians.
Gadded Ram Mohan Rao, MP, plays Jesus while Babu Mohan, MLA plays Satan. Adapted from the Holy Bible, the film will try to show some situations from a new angle, says director, Dr. Rao.
The shooting will continue till January, in and around Hyderabad. Graphics have an important place in the film. Story - Dr. V. Raju, Music -

Srihari's new film
Srihari doesn't forget old friends. He's acting again with
A.P. Arts, who have launched him as a hero with 'Police' earlier.
As hero who has reached stardom with just 8 films,

NTR's Grandson
Great Actor NT Rama Rao's grandson is picked as the hero by none other than
Usher Kiran Movies as their hero in a new film. Named after his grandfather and son of
Harikrishna, NTR Junior is playing the lead in a teen-age love story.
The shooting will be held in Chalakudi, Pollachchi, Simla and Hyderabad. V.R.
Prasad of 'Nuvvu Vastavani' fame is the Director. Speaking about his debut as hero, Taraka Ramarao Said, "I have always wanted to be a film hero. Now that wish is fulfilled." The heroine is yet to be decided for the film.

A comic theme, this film has started shooting in Ramanaidu studios last fortnight. Hero Venkat played in the Muhurat shot with six girls. "The adventure of a lover for the sake of love is the theme line of the film", says director R.

'Sringara Puram....1 KM'
With Anil Kumar and Manoja as the lead pair, the film started shooting in Hyderabad on the 10th. A city youth goes to
a forest area and fills in love with a tribal. What happens to them when they return to the city as a couple, is the storyline. Director V.V. Prasada Rao informs that the shooting will held in Tirupati and Talakona forests.
