Venkatesh film named ‘Premato
Raa’

The Venkatesh-Simran starrer directed by Uday Shankar has been titled as
‘Premato Raa.’ Announcing the title to the press, producer of the film,
T Trivikrama Rao said that the shooting part of the film was over on
March 15. This romantic musical entertainer was shot extensively in
Ooty, Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Jaisalmer, Jaipur, New Zealand and in the
expensive sets erected in Hyderabad. |
The audio will be released by the end of the month and the film will be
released in the first week of May.
Trivikrama Rao said that love is an emotion that is present in every
human being. And this film deals with that universal emotion. 'Director
Uday Shanker is striving hard to make it a huge success. And I have done
my mite to provide him with all the resources.'
Venkatesh said, 'Of the films I have done so far, this one will be
different to an extent. We have targeted the youth and women and are
making this film. My character will be in a different mould altogether.'

Venu in EVV Satyanarayana's new film
| EVV Satyanarayana is doing his next film with
Venu, the success star of Swayamvaram and Chiru Navvuto. The shooting of the film started recently
in the lane next to the Telugu Desam office. Sagi Prasad Raju gave the clap for the muhurat shot which was picturised
on Venu and AVS while Madhava Raju canned the camera and Agastyan
directed the first shot. |

Talking of the film, director EVV Satyanarayana said, 'Subhash who has
directed 18 films in Tamil has provided me with the story. Today the
tastes of the audiences have change and we have to make films to suit
their tastes. The whole film will reverberate with laughter.'
The regular shooting of the film will commence from March 25 and will go
on till April 30. In the second schedule from May 1 to 15 three songs
will be picturised.

Simharasi Launched with Rajasekhar

Super Good films R B Choudary’s film Simharasi was launched at a temple
in Annapoorna Sudio’s Seven Acres. The film which has Rajashekar playing
the lead role is being directed by newcomer Samudra. |
Rajeshekar praying to the
Mother Goddess was the muhurat shot. Producer R B Choudary
said that the film is a remake of the Tamil Mayi produced by
himself. “Rajashekar plays a different role and appears in a different
get-up altogether. The role suits him perfectly."
The film which will be completed in a single schedule will be shot in
Hyderabad and Rajahmundry. And it will be released in the last week of
May.
Elucidating his role Rajashekar said, “In my career spanning 70 films I
haven’t done a character like this. It is about a rich guy who leads an
insignificant life who turns violent to wipe out the bad in society.”
Rajashekar added that he has been doing exercises for the film.
Director Samudra said that he had earlier worked with AM Ratnam, B Gopal
and Sarat and that this film would provide him with a good break.

Padaharella Prema
The new film made under the Sana Creations banner and produced by S
Bhagya Lakshmi will commence shooting in the first week of April.
Director Sana Yadi Reddy said that the film will be a clean love story.
Very soon the selection of artistes would be done.

Major Surya Lunched
The shooting of Major Surya directed by Thota Krishna commenced at
Visveswaraiah Guest House recently. While IG Gopinatha Reddy gave the
clap, Ashok Reddy put the camera on. Producer-director Sana Yadi Reddy
directed the first shot. Suman stars opposite Sowmya Rai and Rashmita in
this film.
Later talking to the press director Krishna said the film is about a
military major who zealously guards the borders and what kind of changes
he brings about in society. 'The highlight of the film will be the
collision sequences between the military and the police.'
Hero Suman said that the demarcation between the roles of the military
and the police would be shown in this film. 'Besides entertainment there
are a lot of commercial elements.'

Sarpam shooting commences

The snake will lay a major role in Sarpam which went into production at
Annapoorna Studios recently. Presented by Member of Parliament Dumpa Mary
Vijayakumari who gave the clap the muhurat shot was picturised on
Surya, Prasanna Kumar, Vijay and Manik. |
While hero Suman switched on the camera,
the first shot was directed by producer-director Sana Yadi Reddy and
Sripati Rajeshwar.
Later talking to presspersons, director Pramod Kumar said the without any
graphics and sentiment the film has a snake as the hero. The film is
about how a snake seeks revenge on four guys. 'Fifty per cent of the will
be shot in Bhadrachalam and Kinnerasani.'
The first schedule will be shot in Bhadrachalam forests. The film will be
completed by April second week and the first copy will be ready by first
week of May, said the producers M Raj Kumar and T C Vani.
