Nagarjuna shoots for Mohan Babu's 'Adhipati'

Nagarjuna who is playing a key role in Mohan Babu’s Adhipati has starting shooting his part. In this regard an overwhelmed Mohan Babu, who is also the producer of the film, garlanded Nagarjuna with a special garland flown in from Madras. 

Mohan Babu’s felicitation of Nagarjuna is likened to the way he attended on N T Rama Rao during the shooting of Major Chandrakant and Rajani Kant during the shoting of Peda Rayudu. 


Talking to the press on this occasion, Mohan Babu said, “It is the duty of a producer to respect the hero who acts in his film. As a producer I have done likewise. Today Nagarjuna is one of the top heroes in the film industry. He need not act in my film, but when I asked him he agreed immediately. The role he plays will not in any way let down his image.”

The others who participated in the shooting with Nagarjuna include Preeti Jhangiani and Mohan Babu. Ravi Raja Pinisetty is the director of the film.

Raghava makes good progress

The shooting of Raghava is progressing at a hectic pace at various locations in and around Hyderabad. Produced by L B Reddy, the film is being directed by Y Nageswara Rao. Some of the locations that the film was shot include Sarathi Studios, Gopal Reddy Guest House, Shamshabad temple and Filmnagar. 

While Suresh, Rajasri, Padma Jayanti and Suman participated in the shooting that took place at Sarathi Studios and Gopal Reddy Guest House, Kota Srinivasa Rao and his villainish gang clash with Suresh and his family in an elaborate fight sequence at Samshabad temple. The stunt sequences were choreographed by Ram Lakshman.

Suman to live with his uncle Chalapati Rao were shot in Film nagar. 

The talkie part and two songs will be completed by June 15, and the
remaining three duets will be shot in some fabulous locations, said Y
Nageswara Rao. 

The film is tentatively scheduled for a July first week release. 

Talking about the film, Suresh said Raghava would be the best film of his career. “The film is basically an entertainer albeit with 10 sentimental scenes.” Showering praises on the heroine Rajasri, he said, “Although she is a newcomer she is acting extremely well.”

Shabhash comes to a climax

Shabhash starring Sumant and Chandini has almost completed shooting and the climax part would be done from June 21, according to the director Hanumantha Reddy. 

Some comedy scenes were shot recently on M S Narayana and L B Sriram at a private residence in Jubilee Hills. On this occasion talking to the press, Reddy said that the picturisation of songs has commenced in the first week of June. The recording and dubbing of the four songs will be done later. 

M S Narayana said that he is playing the role of a highly qualified
unemployed person. “I know Hanumantha Reddy from his assistant director days with Raviraja. To speak the truth there is no role for me in the film, but out of love for me Reddy has created one to accommodate me.”

Producer Jayakrishna said that four songs in the film will be shot
outdoors. “I have a lost of faith in the subject. And Sumanth has put in his best performance in the stunt sequences and in the emotional scenes. Till now no police story has failed to evoke response from the audience.”

Ramana finishes talking and starts singing and dancing

Director Sivanageswara Rao’s new film Ramana with an all new lead cast has completed the talkie part and has started the shooting of songs. 

The picturisation of the four songs has started recently and all of them will be completed in a couple of days. A song will be picturised on the lead cast at Ramoji Film City. Later a dhaba song will be shot on the hero and his friends with a leading heroine. A melody song will also be shot on the hero and the heroine. 


Rao said that the audio will be out by the end of the month. “This film will be different from the comedy films I normally do. There is lots of scope for action elements that elevate the heroism of the lead
characters.”

Rifles shooting begins

Dasari Arun is teaming up with Vijaya Shanti in a home production that would be directed by Dasari Narayana Rao. The film commenced shooting at Ramanaidu Studios recently. 

Dasari Padma gave the clap for the muhurat which had the participation of Vijaya Shanti, Arun Babu, K Viswanath and Mahesh. Nirmala Mohan Babu switched on the camera. 

Later talking to the press Dasari Narayana Rao said, “The police is very important institution to set right the wrongs in the society. Politicians of many hues and parties may come and go but the police have to work without any bias or favour. 


The police have the power to take into custody not only those in power but even the government officials if they are found guilty. This has been given to them by the constitution.”

Dasari said that K Viswanath who plays DIG Rangarayudu in the film
believes that if the police work without any bias or favour the law and order situation in the country would be strengthened. With that belief he makes everyone in his family IAS officers.

Viswanath’s children – Vijaya Shanti, Arun Babu, Prakash Raj, Jayaprakash Reddy and Mahesh – who portray different mindsets are like the good and bad in the police department that we come across in real life. 

The shooting will take place in July, August and September.

Graphics thriller Aakarshana complete

Another suspense thriller Aakarshana has completed shooting recently. The makers of the film claim that Aakarshana has no parallels as far as story is concerned neither in Tollywood nor in Hollywood. Story writer and presenter Sripuram Kiran said that the major attraction for the film are the mindblowing graphics.

Even the graphics have not been included unnecessarily. “Aakarshana will be in the tradition of the Hollywood graphics thrillers Mummy, Species, etc.”

There are five songs, two stunt sequences and some chase sequences. “The audience will know what is happening in the film, but the cast are unaware of it.” Hero Venkat said he plays the role of an archaeology student. “Although I have been doing a variety of roles I didn’t imagine that I would do a good role like this so soon.”

Veedekkada Mogudandi goes for songs shooting

Director EVV Satyanarayana Rao’s new film Veedekkadi Mogudandi with Venu, Srutiraj, Geetu Mohan Das in the lead cast has completed the talkie part and is presently getting ready to picturise the songs. 

The first song will be shot in Ramanaidu Studios, Annapoorna Studios and Ramoji Film City on Venu, Ali and other models. Later the crew will go to Germany, Italy, Australia to shoot three songs in these places. 


Later when the crew comes back to Hyderabad two songs will be shot on Venu and the two heroines. “With this the film will be over,” said EVV Satayanarayana Rao. 

EVV said that it is a total entertainer in the tradition of Jambalakadi
Pamba and Aaokkati Adakku. “It will be another good film for me,” he
surmised. 

Kota Srinivasa Rao plays Venu’s father, while Chandramohan, M S Narayana act as his brothers. Srutiraj and Geetu Mohan Das are his daughters. Brahmanandam is a major, AVS is a sincere astrologer, Chalapati Rao a family doctor. Ali plays the role of a diehard lover who wants to marry the heroine at any cost. 

The other cast includes Rallapalli, Muku Raju, Mallikarjuna Rao, Ganesh, Kadambari Kiran, Devisri, Sobha Rani, Urvasi Patel, Rajani Patel.
