Hussain Sagar is a large lake in the midst of the city and was constructed in 1562
A.D. The Tank Bund links the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. The broad road on the bund is lined with lawns and 33 statues of famous personalities of the
State stand along the bund of the lake. The well laid out Lumbini park located in the Buddha Purnima project has a musical fountain.
Buddha Statue at the Hussain Sagar :
The 16 meter tall, 350 tone monolithic colossus rises high from the placid waters of the picturesque
Hussain Sagar lake. The statue of Lord Buddha is placed on the rock of Gibraltar in the middle of the Lake.
