A lake parallel to the Osman Sagar lake is a slightly smaller lake called the Himayat
Sagar. It is named after the youngest son of the seventh Nizam, Himayat Ali Khan. The grassy area adjoining the lake is an ideal picnic spot and the road atop the bund can make a good road for a drive. Cottages in the tourist complex of A.P. Tourism can be booked through the A.P.Travel and
Tourism Development Corporation. Take a long drive to Himayat Sagar on a holiday. This lovely combination of clean air, sparkling water and a lush area makes the perfect picnic spot.
