Agro / Horticulture
Andhra Pradesh enables the potential investor to make fruitful forays into agro based industries like fruit concentrates, fruit & vegetable pulp, purees, pastes & powders, frozen fruit & vegetables, snack foods, dehydrated products and oleoresins.
* Large areas have been allocated for production of food grains, fruits, flowers, vegetables and plantation crops.
A wide range of climatic conditions in the state are suitable for a variety of crops .
* Andhra Pradesh boasts of being the leading producer of cash crops like tobacco, groundnut, chillies, turmeric, oil seeds, cotton, sugar cane and jute.
* The state also produces some of the finest varieties of fruits like mangoes, citrus, grapes, guavas, sapotas, papayas and bananas.
Minerals
The state extends full support to it's partners in progress for exploration, development, value addition and export of minerals.
* Vast potential for on-shore and off-shore exploration of oil and natural gas.
* The state leads in granite exports and is the largest exporter of limestone.
* Andhra Pradesh is the only state in South India with large coal deposits.
* The state also has the second largest deposits of bauxite in the country.
* Extensive deposits of gold, diamonds, copper, manganese, dolomite, iron ore, lead, zinc, mica & beach sands containing atomic minerals are available here.

The state, with an abundance of skilled manpower and latest infrastructure, is all set to make forays in a major way in the areas of Networking & Data Communication software, Object Oriented Designs and Technologies, Electronic Design
Automation (EDA), Software Re-engineering, RDBMS, CAD/CAM - 2D/3D Graphic Modeling, GIS, UNIX Internals and more.
Textiles
