The DSC - 2001 shall be notified on May 31 with all the details to recruit about 32,000 teachers. The appointment letters would be issued before august 15, according to the Minister for School Education, Mr. K. Srihari. According to Minister, this recruitment was part of the Government’s efforts to ensure total literacy by 2005.
The Government proposed to be upgraded to upper primary schools, 2,051 were in Telangana region, 733 in Rayalaseema and 1,568 in coastal Andhra. Among the primary schools to be established, 1,071 were going to be in coastal Andhra, 951 in Rayalaseema and 4,300 in Telangana.
The Government also sanctioned 7,351 primary schools where no schools existed now and sanctioned two teachers’ posts each. One of these would be filled now while the later in future. In all, 4,352 primary schools would be upgraded as upper primary schools and two posts of teachers for each school would be filled now and two more later.
Five teachers’ posts had been sanctioned for 1,130 high schools each and all of those would be filled up this year. Along with this recruitment, backlog posts and posts falling vacant after retirement of employees numbering about 10,424 would also be recruited this year.
