From the Chairman
1985-2000. This 15-year period is like a fleeting moment in the passing millennium.
Yet, at DRL and our group companies, we created step by step inch by inch and brick by brick, a pharmaceutical complex that can be characterised by its
-innovative spirit as equal to the best in the industry -research pipeline that can be the envy of any frontline MNC
-most integrated world class generics pipeline-emerging biotechnology strengths
that is largely the result of the efforts of some of the finest chemists, clinical
engineers, pharmacists, pharmacologists and molecular biologists that the industry could ever knit together.
We can now confidently look forward to the next millennium - to expand, to create and to achieve much more at a much faster pace and with a great
degree of self-confidence.
As founder and its Chairman during these 15 years of momentous achievement, it is my fervent wish that the innovative spirit shall endure and will
be passed on to the successive generations of chemists and others and that this will form the backbone of this great institution.
