A Chairman's Profile - TGV Group
A visionary and entrepreneur who is now the Chairman and Managing Director of
Sree Rayalseema Alkalies and allied Chemicals Limited was born on the 16th of May 1950. He began his career in the TGV group of Industries as Chief Accounts
Executive. Presently he is the Chairman of Sree Rayal Seema Petrochemicals Ltd.,
Sree Rayal Seema Hi-Strength Hypo Ltd. and Sree Rayal Seema Power Corporation Ltd. He
is the Director of Andhra Pradesh Gas Power Corporation Ltd. and Kurnool Power Projects
Ltd. He is also an Executive Member of Alkali
Manufacturers Association of India and Andhra Chamber of Commerce. He is the Chief Patron
of Andhra Pradesh Veteran Athletics Association. He is the President of Andhra Pradesh Foot Ball Association, Sri Shivaji
Memorial Committee, Kurnool Dist. Chamber of Commerce and Trade and Chinmaya Mission
Vidyalaya. And, is the Vice President of Andhra Pradesh Federation of Chamber of Commerce
and Trade.
He has also contributed in Trade and Industry (Such as Banking, Tourism and
Handicraft etc.). In the promotion of Trade and Industry he undertook wide tours
abroad covering all European Countries, Central UK and part of USA, many a times.
As a Former Director of the Vysya Bank Ltd., he was associated with the introduction of Credit Card, Leasing Company and Investor Clubs. As the thenMember of National and Zonal Railway users Consultative Committee, he initiated
conversion of Meter gauge into the broad gauge. With his vast experience and knowledge in Trade and Commerce he has been the President of Kurnool District
Chamber of Commerce and Trade for the past one decade and developed the Organization educating the Committee through seminars, Conferences, Guest
Lectures. As former Chairman of an eighty-year-old Andhra Patrika Group of NewsPapers established by Desoddharaka Kasinath Nageswara Rao Panthulu he
started "Navachitrakatha" -a cartoon magazine for children. Mr.T.G.Venkatesh is also involved in
science, technology and other Learned Professions.
In association with his Co-promoters he established Sree Rayal Seema Paper Mills
Ltd., as a joint sector in Kurnool with an investment of Rs.100 Crores. This corrected the Industrial imbalance in the backward region of Rayal Seema and
provided employment and food to the jobless multitude. The Company won a coveted Government Award for the latest effluent control system.
He was also instrumental for the development of Social Forestry Scheme -first of its
kind introduced by any Paper Industry. Under this unique Project, Social Forestry
was taken up in an extent of about ten thousand acres in the districts of Rayal
Seema and Mahamoob Nagar which not only supplemented raw materials for the industry but also provided employment to hundreds of rural people including
scheduled tribes. He is accredited with the establishment of M/S Sree Rayalseema Alkalies and
Allied Chemicals Ltd., a commercial scale Bipolar Membrane Cell Technology, the latest one in the world for the manufacture of caustic soda and allied products. This
has instilled immense confidence among other Chlor-Alkali manufacturers employing conventional Mercury Cell and Diaphragm Cell Process to switch over to
the new technology. Cent percent recycling of effluents and the greenery on its premises over three lakh plantations, rose garden and lush green lawns speak of its
effluent control system of his plant on the holy banks of river Tungabhadra.
His varied activities include literature and education. And, under his leadership and contribution, Chinmaya Mission Vidyalaya could develop into an out
standing Institution having its own building costing around Rs. 20 lakhs in
Kurnool. He was instrumental to start Technical Institutes like Polytechnic and ITI at
Adoni, besides a High School with free education. The following Institutions were
sponsored by him with magnificent contributions have just been completed.

3. TGV Primary and Elementary School at Panchalingala
4. Urdu Academy, Kurnool.
It is thus evident that he is not a religious bigot. He extends financial assistance to
one and all for noble causes irrespective of caste or creed. Sports and athletics has
been cherished by him. He also loves games and Cultural Activities. He has
rendered yeoman services to revive and develop Football -Soccer in the State as
President of A.P State Football Association since 1980. On the lines of Mohammedan Sports club, he started a Club named TG Venkatesh XI five years
back, and it is gaining good reputation in the Country. He is instrumental for the
construction of Outdoor and Indoor Stadiums in Kurnool Club through his contribution and leadership. His services to the Sports and play fields could bring
laurels to the Andhras. TG Venkatesh XI Team is the Champion of Champions: has won several National Level Tournaments. Of late he pioneered the Pre Olympic
Football Tournament at Hyderabad for the first time in India under the patronage of
the Hon'ble Chief Minister and pride to our state. He pioneered the starting of swimming pools; one in Adoni and another in Kurnool for the benefit of the Youth.
He has also a keen liking towards FINE ARTS, in which he takes special interest in
Rural Development including preservation of tradition and cultural heritage. Under his
able leadership 'Sri Shivaji Memorial Complex' costing Rs. One crore has
materialized in Srisailam which includes a Library, Prayer Hall and Herbarium. He
piloted the construction of an Auditorium -Venkatesh Kalakendra in Adoni costing
about Rs. 20 Lakhs. This includes the land donated for promoting Cultural and
Social activities. It is also contemplated to put up another Auditorium in Kurnool at
an estimated cost of about Rs. 60 Lakhs to encourage Social and Cultural Activities
in the region.
His contribution to the Society in the form of Social Work includes donations on
liberal scale which were given for the construction and development of Temples, Churches and Mosques in
Gondaparla, E Tandrapadu and Panchalingala villages around his Industrial Complex, thus
enabling spirit of communal Integration.
A Hospital for poor students is under construction at Kurnool. Besides, keeping in
view, the lack of medical facilities and the imminent need of a Hospital are under
construction in E Tandrapadu village, which is in brisk progress. White(Green)
cardholders are assured of free consultation charges in the hundred -bed Hospital
viz. Gowri Gopal Hospital functioning at Kurnool.
Satyasai prayer hall in Kurnool town was constructed due to his initiative and
contribution. He provided protected water supply to the villages of Gondiparla, E
Tandripadu and Pulthota. Apart from the above, he associated Polio with the
National programs and motivated Family Planning, Immunization and Eye Camps
etc., by voluntarily offering incentive awards. The Jaycees honored him as the man
of the year for his active social service.
By summing up the above it is seen that he is a person with Charitable Disposition
and is predominantly responsible for the ushering of the following: Chinmaya Mission Vidyalaya

Kurnool, TGV Hospital -E Tandrpadu, Satyasai prayer hall -Kurnool, Kalakendra (Auditorium)
-Adoni, Auditorium -Kurnool, Sri Shivaji Memorial Complex, Library, Prayer Hall and Herbarium at
Srisailam, Swimming Pool at Adoni and Kurnool, TG Venkatesh XI Club at Kurnool and Hyderabad, Outdoor and Indoor Stadium at
Kurnool and Kurnool club contributing toward recreational activities. He continues to
evince interest in Social Activities with unabated vigour. Having recognized the
services in the fields of Industrial Promotion, Social Services, the central govt., state
govt. and other well reputed Commerce and Trade Associations.
